Less than 500 meters away from the Carferry Dieppe-Newhaven and hours drive from Calais near the small harbor town of Dieppe in the hilly Normandy, lies Auberge du Vieux Puits. The inn, that dates back to 1850 was owned by Alexandre Dumas and visited by Oscar Wilde, offers a wonderful view of the rough sea and high cliffs. The inn was recently renovated and complies with all modern comforts(but no televison) without losing the warm and authentic atmosphere of Normandy.
Besides eight stylish guest rooms the Auberge also has a comfortable lounge, a restaurant that serves regional specialties, a large garden and a terrace with beautiful sea views. Do feel at home in the Auberge, we enjoy the relaxed and personal atmosphere. Not like a hotel, but the comfort of a Chambre d'Hotes you will find here.
